For 10 months: I wondered everyday what your face, hands, fingers, toes, knees, elbows, ears, eyes, mouth would look like

For 10 months: I felt you move, kick, punch, hiccup, roll...every movement, and I cherished every one

For 10 months: I was your soul provider of food, warmth, safety

For 10 months: I worried about what kind of mother I would be

For 10 months: I prayed and prayed that you would be healthy

For 10 months: You grew and thrived inside of me; you made my belly get bigger and bigger




10 Months Ago: Daddy and I welcomed you in to this world -- September 13, 2008; 6 lbs., 4 oz.; 19 1/4 inches long

10 Months Ago: All my prayers were answered; you were strong and healthy

10 Months Ago: I knew that I was going to be the best mother to YOU

10 Months Ago: I saw you for the first time and my world has never been the same

10 Months Ago: Your face, eyes, elbows, knees, toes, hands, fingers, EVERYTHING were absolutely perfect; you were and still are the most beautiful baby boy I have ever seen

Brogan, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me (besides your daddy)! I thank God (and of course your daddy) every day for giving me the chance and opportunity to be your mother. You make me a better person! I couldn't ask for a better son. You rock my world every time I look at you. Thank you for being you! I love you more than you'll ever know...sometimes I wonder how someone so small can have such a huge, if not all, of my heart!

Wedding Attire

I went shopping today for some garb for one of my best friend's upcoming wedding! I was hesitant to go out and buy something because 1) I didn't want to be disappointed and 2) I knew it was going to cost me! BUT I knew I had to get something to wear; I have absolutely NO dress clothes anymore, except for maybe 2 somewhat dressy shirts (that I wear ALL the time!). I ended up finding 2 dresses, one for the rehearsal and the second for the wedding. They are too stinkin' cute! I found shoes for the wedding dress but not any for the rehearsal dress...yet! Here are some pictures that I took when I got home!

I feel absolutely great in these dresses (which is something new!) especially with my NEW HOT MOM HAIR CUT (pictures to come...I didn't have makeup on today so that wasn't gonna happen)!

Hope everyone had a fabulous Fourth! We sure did!

B-U-S-Y!

Brogan and myself have quite the schedule planned for this 4 day weekend! Tomorrow, I have a 9 AM job interview with Stormont Vail: Cotton O'Neill Clinic. Please, if you will, say a little prayer for me! If you've read in this blog before, I have been trying to 'leave' my job for awhile but nothing ever follows through. So...after I have a stressful morning, I'm getting my eyebrows waxed because WOW. Then, I am taking Brogan to the public pool for the first time along with my friend Nib and her precious baby girl, Miss Kenadie. I'm so excited and nervous at the same time! I know he'll LOVE it but I'm just hoping he loves it enough to want to play for a little bit. Either way, it'll work out just fine! Tomorrow evening I am getting out of the house for a little girl time! My good girl friends from TCT (Topeka Civic Theatre) invited me to have an evening swim fest! I'm stoked! I always have so much fun when I'm with them and I'm ready for a night of laughter. Friday I think we might head over to my MIL's house to swim a little and then in the evening we're venturing over to my friend Molly's house for their annual 3rd of July party! I'm praying that I can get Brogan down for a later afternoon nap than usual so he'll be more apt to stay up later so we can enjoy at least an hour of the party! FINGERS CROSSED! THEN, Saturday is JULY FOURTH!!!!!!!!!! One of my very favorite holidays!!! And to top off a great day of fun in the sun, my brother, SIL, and niece from Chicago are coming to visit! I'm so very excited! I've only gotten to meet my niece, Avery, once and I loved every minute! She is 5 weeks younger than Brogan so I'm sure this visit will be a lot more interesting with both of them crawling around and getting in to everything. Again, I cannot wait! Sunday will be spent at my mom's getting in as much time with them as we can.

I just read through what I just typed and realized that I will have NO time to be lazy and stay in my jammies. Oh well! We're going to have a blast and I'm going to get a nice tan ;)

PS: I hope you all don't get the impression that Tommy won't be with us, cause he will!! Mostly on Saturday, since he does have work and rehearsal still. But non the less, he'll be here! :)
